dark secret.~ a poem <3

From the very first day, I was a dark person.
Malicious thoughts, and a pained face.
Vanishing into a vapor of murky shadows.
My soul, blacker than ebony.
My personality, shadowy, callous, and devoid from emotion on the outside.
Only the most clever observer could notice the enduring, relentless spark of humanity in my eye.
Contrasting deeply from the nefarious front, that no-one yet had pierced.
Until you.
You insistently, tirelessly, and incessantly, tried to find that forbidden bit of goodness in me.
My only weakness.
No matter how cruel and vile I was, you saw past that.
This is my darkest secret.
A smirk plays across your features as you realize that I am not truly as inhuman as I let on.
You know that I have a killer mentality, and will not hesitate to ruthlessly and painfully murder you if you let this secret slip.
You hold this secret until the day of your young demise.
Only on that day do I let go.
And cry.
For I am only human.
