What is Prayer?
Prayer is at the heart of Christian worship, and has been since humankind first encountered their Creator in a certain garden!
The form of prayer and liturgy used in the major denominations can often be traced back to the early centuries of the Church. Prayer is asking God to help you with life, or thanking him.

I pray for world peace! ...Even though, it might not happen anytime soon. xDD Just trying to remove the slightly awkward feeling in the pit of my stomach.

As much as I agree with you denim, I have to agree more with Molly. Prayer is a good and powerful thing, but I don't think it belongs here. There are ways to pray for people without putting a thread out in the open like this.

I don't feel like discussing my own beliefs here, but I do have some knowledge of the Bible and Matthew 6:5 is as good an argument against this as any.

That may be a bit harsh. There's nothing wrong with praying in the open, but there is a time and place for everything, and this isn't it. If anyone would like to request prayer, feel free to PM me, but I'll be locking this thread for now.

Thank you Read for quickly locking this before it turned into something completely unnecessary. It was a sweet idea Denim, but others aren't Christians like we are, so we shouldn't shove it in their faces (:
