Need book recommendations!
Heyaaaaaaaa!
So for my birthday I got money to spend on books, and I need recommendations on what to get! I'll be looking at Amazon primarily because most of the money is in Amazon gift cards.
My favorite genres are action/adventure and maybe fantasy and science fiction. Just, please, no romance
Tell me your favorite books!!!

I hate romance too, don't worry. xD
Do you like utopian/distopian novels and mysteries? If so, I can share several books that are on my to-read list. xD

There is a book called Shiloh. It may be too easy for like everyone on this whole forum but I think it is somewhat classic?

Re: Need book recommendations!
My favorite book would have to be the Hunger Games, but I think a lot of people already probably read that book. The Pretty Little Liars series are pretty good, but I only read three of them before I started watching the show. Based on books I've read from my English class I suggest Anthem, The Kite Runner, A Long Way Gone, The Catcher In The Rye, and Lord of The Flies. If you like classic books, those are some classic books. I honestly haven't read a lot of books in a while just for enjoyment so it's hard to actually suggest those.

Re: Need book recommendations!
The following books may contain romance as a subplot but firstly and foremostly they are action/fantasy/dystopia:
The Young Elites by Marie Lu *this is fantasy
Legend {the trilogy} by Marie Lu ---> I really loved this series and it is supposed to be a movie next year *this is a dystopia
The Maze Runner by James Dashner *this is a dystopia
Shiver {the series} by Maggie Stiefvater (this one has the most romance out of the suggestions) *this is more real life-fantasy-adventure
And then theres Harry Potter and The Hunger Games but I thought you might've already read those. Harry Potter is the best.

Ireland: oh yeah I've heard of Shiloh; might be just a tad below my reading level though.
Sammy: Ooh Anthem looks good. I've heard of Kite Runner and Long Way Gone (they sound familiar anyway), I have Catcher in the Rye at home but haven't read it yet (oops) and Lord of the Flies I've heard of and it sounds excellent. And yeah I love classics. Thanks!
Miranda: Ooh nice list! I've been meaning to read Maze Runner but I have this thing about hardback books and I can't find it in hardback anywhere...Amazon probably has it though lol. And I haven't read Harry Potter yet (ducks to avoid rotten tomatoes) even though I know a lot about it from tumblr and such, but I'm looking for Sorcerer's Stone in hardback as well.
Thanks guys! Any more?

I would recommend, This Dark Endeavor and Such Wicked Intent. A two book series by Kenneth Oppel that precedes Mary Shelley's Frankenstien. Both are extremely well written and super easy reads.

Re: Need book recommendations!
I read A LOT so I can recommend mostly my full bookcase but my favorites which fit your genre choices are:
-Percy Jackson Series; Even though it's a tween series it's pretty good
-Mortal Instruments series; mostly action/fantasy but it has a little bit of romance
-Agree with everyone on TMR because it's fabulous. I'm currently reading the prequel 'The Kill Order'.
-Infernal Devices series; it's the prequel series to The Mortal Instruments and it's a trilogy but it's much better than TMI.

I'm not into the type of genres your into it so it's hard for me to chose, but there was a science fiction book I liked called Ink Heart and it was a trilogy, so you should check it out but it might be a bit easy, idk tho
Good luck finding a book<3

Tuck Everlasting.
It's a really cool book...
But there's a smidge of romance.
Just don't watch the movie

William Shakespeare's The Jedi Doth Return
I have not read, so not recommending more than a look, but look at "William Shakespeare's The Jedi Doth Return", you'll return to the star-crossed galaxy far, far away as the brooding young hero, a power-mad emperor, and their jesting droids match wits, struggle for power, and soliloquize in elegant and impeccable iambic pentameter. Illustrated with beautiful black-and-white Elizabethan-style artwork, William Shakespeare's The Jedi Doth Return offers essential reading for all ages. Something Wookiee this way comes!
