Site Questions

Hey guys! I wanted to ask you all a few questions about the stuff that we have been planning out along with something else. Please give us an explanation for each if necessary and any ideas or questions that you may have.

1) Are you interested in another admin? Lexi and I were thinking about having one, but that thought had to change and we don't know about it now. The site is inactive right now so I'm not sure if it would be best to think of this later on, but I would like to know what you think.

2) Are you interested in being a reporter for the entertainment section? Both staff and members can answer this question. We need to see how many would be interested in doing this. And if you say yes, can you also say what categories you may want to report on?

another admin could be nice.. I know on past forums when I was a staff member, an odd number of admins comes in handy for tie breaking decisions or if somebody is busy with personal stuff then the work can still be split with the other 2 admins instead of one person doing everything until the other isn't busy anymore
you guys seem to agree on most things but there could be a time that could maybe be useful
it's also just nice to have another voice to get ideas from too

1. It would be good to have another admin. Another admin would mean another perspective of this site.  

2. Sure, I would.  I would probably choose music.

Also, will there only be reporters for the entertainment section or will there be any for other sections that haven't been created yet? {e.g: science, tech, food, world news - if they're still going to be created ofc}

Thanks Anika! I think if people are interested in reporting about other topics other than the forums listed in the entertainment section then we could add those too. We would need a few people interested to actually make it happen.

Basically there are going to be reporters of all different types So there are going to be extra subdivisions within the reporter group. So all the reporters are listed as reporters, but they each have different tasks and genres. So for example, I am interested in fashion and celebrity news, so I could be classified as a Fashion/Celeb Reporter (or something ) while someone interested in food news could be the Cooking Reporter or whatever we title these things

Hopefully that makes sense aha!

I agree with Meghan, I think another admin is a great idea, but not right now. Maybe in January..?

Thanks Ireland! I was thinking either then or late December for the new admin. Lexi will be in college by January so that may actually come in handy.

Hey guys!   Another admin would be a good idea since it's a good incentive to get people to stay on the site and to reward active members; I personally wouldn't be able to take up the role but there are members on here who have been admins before, did a great job in the position and I'm sure would have plenty of good ideas to bring to the 'table'

For question 2 - if there are any spaces available I'd love to start reporting again, I loved writing for the newspaper until I ran out of time for it about a year ago but I want to be more active now that I've settled into university   as for topics I'd be able to write about tv shows, movies, current affairs, food, maybe even an advice column? I'm flexible though, just because I would really like to start writing again haha

Good news is that since everyone that posted on this thread that wanted an admin, well we're going to have a new admin, but when that will be is unknown at the moment.
And also if you wish to become a reporter please answer that question as we need to know who may be interested.
