I think it's amazing, 10/10.  I was wondering if you could make me a siggie or an avatar because I don't really know how to make at least a decent one and yours are extremely fantastic !

Ohh 
You use Gimp, right? 
Well when you make images transparent, you press the grey wand with a yellow sparkle on top and click the backpack. There are different sections so you won't be able to get it all away so just keep on doing it. When you click a part of the backpack, click Edit > Clear 
If it turns white, then it means that your layer doesn't have the Alpha Channel on which makes it transparent. To turn it on just click Layer > Transparency > Add Alpha Channel 
And just do the wand thing again. 
Also, another quick way of getting rid of it is using the pink eraser on the tool bar side. Erase what you want to get rid of but be careful, you might erase something so click Edit > Undo 
and make sure that the Alpha Channel setting is on ( :
