The Writers' Club Empty The Writers' Club

Come one, come all, to a place where words carry the weight of the world, where journals are filled with what the heart cannot contain, where late nights are spent chatting with a keyboard and computer screen, where imaginary friends take control of their own story and worlds appear from nothing, and the pen truly is mightier than the sword.

All genres and stages of experience welcome (yes, even you fanfic authors).

Fancy language aside, it's come to my attention that we have some seriously talented writers on this forum and figured it was time we had a common meeting ground to motivate and encourage each other, ask advice, and even find a beta reader or editor if you need one.

Welcome, welcome! I've only recently realized my desire to become published someday, and I'm hoping I have the willpower to do it.

Anyway, and you may have already heard, but Harper Lee is publishing the sequel to To Kill A Mockingbird in July after 50 years of it sitting forgotten and I'm so excited, I don't know if I can wait that long.

That's so great! When I was home-schooled, I read To Kill A Mockingbird in eighth grade. It's nice to know after all this time, they bringing back a sequel.

It's such a good book! Hopefully your teacher can make it as fun as it actually is and not ruin it for you.

Alright, so, I don't like doing things part way, so I'm going to be posting a Prompt of the Week, and anyone who wants to participate can do so. Write whatever you want to based on the prompt: a poem, drabble, short story, whatever, and post it here by Friday the 13th.

Don't feel obligated; you don't have to if you don't want to or don't have the time. It'll be fun though Very Happy

The Writers' Club Prompt10

Yes, it's just a picture. I feel these allow more creativity and imagination than word prompts.
Have fun!
