Opinions on The Mortal Instruments?

I've been trying to decide if I should give the series a shot or not...has anyone read it? Liked it? Not liked it?

I've read it. Pretty good series. I'd recommend it. It's sometimes a little bit slow but the ending makes up for it.

And yes sometimes it's a bit slow but dang it's an amazing series and I loved the last book.

They made a movie two years ago but I haven't heard anything about a sequel, which sucks.

Well I know they're doing a tv show, since the general concensus of the movie was less than flattering.

Yeah the movie wasn't exactly promising. 

I didn't know they were going to a TV show. I'll have to look that up.
