Rio Olympics - We Need YOUR Help!

Hey guys! We need your help!

As most of you should know, the 2016 Olympics in Rio are occurring in just a few weeks! (August 5)

We really wanted to hold some sort of event, party, etc. in honor of the Games & just to have a really fun celebration! However, we aren't quite sure what to do, which is why we need your help!

Please share your ideas of some fun activities we could all partake in to kick off the Olympic Games!

If there's enough people we could do a forum Olympics style event where the members are sorted into teams named after countries, with mini games? There could be several rounds over a few weeks/the period when the Olympics are going on, and then the winning team could get a gold medal badge to place on their profiles, the second placed team a silver medal badge etc

I love this idea! I actually had the same idea regarding teams named after countries and such! I really like the badge idea also! We could definitely shape them like Olympic medals

I like your idea Faye, but my only concern is we may not have enough people to actually put them into teams. Besides there would probably be only two teams so most likely there would be no bronze medal for this.

Omg this sounds fun! I really like Faye's idea, if we have enough people. We could have different games for sports! For example, artistic gymnastics could be an art or graphic related game, and speed skating could be a 'post as much as you can in this limited time' game.

I'll brainstorm some more. : D

Also if we don't have enough people for teams, we could make this an individual event. Each person could pick the country they want to be.

Good idea we could! I've already been discussing this event with Lexi and we decided to have two groups/teams. However, individual members can also get something special.

Two teams will work as well! Individual awards like the real Olympics will definitely be neat! 

There could even be awards for each of the sports.

I was thinking maybe use/play a game Olympics-related on another site and the highest scores win tickets/ribbons/badges/or another type of prize. Or we could also start up a contest of a quiz/quizzes Olympic-related and do the same for that too (high scores = Prizes). Idk, I hope these aren't too cheesy. lol

Thanks for your suggestion, Honey! That sounds like a good idea. It'll be fun to do some stuff off-site as we don't tend to do that very often.
