A few updates

1) You can now tag usernames in your posts.

For example:
@Malum

When hovering over the username, it will show you the preview of that person's profile.

2) I am thinking about adding a like button. It would come in handy especially when this is a fandom forum and there is going to be a lot of things we all would want to like. I will let you know when this has been added as it would require some coding.

Cool! Thanks for sharing. Just wondering though, do you know how we're notified if we're tagged (since the toolbar at the top of the screen isn't there)?

I may add the toolbar if enough people agree that it would make sense to.

Omg I LOVE the new tagging feature and the new toolbar! I didn't know it was possible to tag names on forumotion. 

And the like button seems really cool. We could definitely try that out if the coding gets situated!

its actually a really cool addition to the forum, i like it a lot

how do we get the tagging to work? i've tried it but it just stays as regular text and doesn't actually tag the person

You use @ and then the username of the person. It should work and you can tell exactly if that person gets a notification from the toolbar.

Yeah that could be an issue. You could always clear your cache or log out and then back on if you do have glitches with it. Hopefully it works fine now.

Hey guys! I just figured out that if someone has a space or special characters in the username you have to include quotation marks around their name. I'm gonna use Hannah as an example aha.

Example (w/ quotes):

Code:

@"Beloved♥"

= @Beloved♥

Example (w/o quotes):

Code:

@Beloved♥

= @Beloved♥

In addition to the like button I have added a section onto your profile that says "Likes." That refers to how many likes you have. I could also let this be shown on posts, but for now it's only on our profiles.
