Post by Mark Mon Jan 26, 2015 11:15 am

Alright peeps......

It's time that this story was brought out of the damp cobwebs of the past and reopened.

I want to post all the chapters that I have so far so then I can start writing new content but that means posting like 20 times in a row XD

I'll try to get an O.K. from an Admin to do that and I hope to update this book weekly.  I have the book in a document and it's at 65 pages.  TOTAL.  It's only at chapter 20 so hehehe.....

Anyway, please leave a comment if you are excited for the return of a long lost book.

There was a crack in the night sky as if the sky was being shattered into a million pieces. Mark had the most troublesome time falling asleep on his bed. So much stirred in his mind about everything he had done and who he was. He knew nothing of what had happened to his parents, which bothered him.

He tiptoed to the window to see the storm rage over Bakersville and observed all that conspired in the shadows. He didn't know who he was, or what he was for that matter. The only thought that blared in his mind was to keep the people of Bakersville safe from the danger he brought with him.........from another world.

Please welcome the return of....

Another World
Chapter 1:
The Corner of Your Eye
Ten years had past from the time Mark crossed worlds into Bakersville.  Many stories were written, many acquaintances made, and many mysterious adventures yet to embark on. Mark was known to everyone as one to shy away from adventure, but his friend Bubble, who was a young girl, wasn't.
"Mark!" she began.  "What are you doing?  I'm board and we need something to do other than read all day in the library!" She exclaimed in agitation.
"Well," Mark replied.  "I'm always the last person for you to come to when you're bored, so this is probably serious.  I thought you didn't like adventure?" He said mockingly.
Her face flushed to a red color as she recanted,  "I am too one for adventure!  If you think that you have good adventure, then let's see it Mr brag-a-lot!"
"Hold on," he returned. "I need to finish this chapter."
"OH PLEASE,"  Bubble dragged Mark out of the building while he had a blank stare on his face.
"I was so close to figuring out the big cliffhanger.  Yet, you pull me out of the library and no....  No amazing resolution for me."
"You can handle yourself," Bubble said as she rolled her eyes.  "Now, how about that adventure?"
"You see," Mark continued.  "My kind of adventure is not like yours.  I hunt shadows."
Bubble seemed uninterested, but she had nothing else to do so she continued to listen.
"Think of somewhere in Bakersville that is darker than the rest of the world.  Not the abandoned mansion, that won't count for right now.  You're not that level."  He winked as he finished speaking as if to gloat about him knowing something that she didn't understand.
"Umm, well, ahh, how am I suppose to know!?"
"You asked for adventure." Mark returned.
"Well I wanted you to come up with the adventure." Bubble rambled.
"Fine then.  Follow me."
They traveled to one of the famous rich ladies public houses to find a normal scenery of the most perfect green grass you would see anywhere else in all of Bakersville.  The flowers were properly tended to and nothing was dead.  The soft breeze in the air whispered through the trees, soon to die from the oncoming winter.  The two looked around for unnaturally placed shadows until...
"Come over here Bubble." Mark said to interrupt the stillness in the air.
Bubble rushed over, eager for some action.
"Now, can you see that shadow over there?"  He pointed behind the fountain beside her house.
"Yeah, it's probably from the trees around the shadow, why?"
"If that shadow is from the trees, then why are all the trees so far away from it?"
The wind picked up.  The grass that was covered in shadow did not move like the rest of the grass, it stayed perfectly still in frozen confinement.  The two of them looked at each other.  Not once in her life did Bubble ever notice this in all of Bakersville whatsoever.  Her face grew direly pale as she shook from hearing this from Mark.
"Mark, how on earth is that possible?  I've lived in Bakersville for way longer than you and yet I am just noticing this now?!"
Mark replied by nodding his head while he looked up into the sky above the shadow.  Frustrated, Bubble spoke out, "What are you looking at!?"
"I'm looking at the thing that's casting the shadow...." He replied gravely.
Bubble became confused since no object or person stood over the strange looking shadow.  Mark had to take action quickly.  He waited until Bubble looked away and he turned to the shadow.  He came close to the shadow, took off one of his gloves that he was wearing, and put his hand out.  Once he did that, the shadow disappeared.  It was gone.  Bubble searched for the shadow once more, but never found it after that.
After this event, Mark invited Bubble to his home to see if she was interested in observing the shadow statues face to face.
"When we go up there, do two things.  First, do not pass the barriers."
Bubble glarred at him in response.  "Please......... And second, don't do anything until I say you can."  Mark said these things with great seriousness in his voice.  Bubble nodded her head.  Obviously, she was not listening to him.  Once they arrived inside, Mark led her to a set of stairs that lead to a great room.  The ceiling towered above the two young people and the barriers were surely a great sight in themselves.  The barriers were two giant pillars of hard marble.  They glistened in the light that shone from the windows.  Soon enough, Bubble noticed that the ceiling itself was completely glass.
"Mark?  There are no shadows up here, or anything for that matter.  Just an empty room..."
"Then how about you see the shadows.  When I tell you to, carry out my instructions.  Listen to the wind carefully and look through the corner of your eye in the very direction your looking.  Only then will you be able to see them."  Mark quickly added,  "I will warn you, once you see them, you will always see them everywhere."
Bubble was not concerned for that matter at all and did not heed his warning.  She was also puzzled about listening to the wind.  It was just a simple room.  Yet, She listened and nothing happened.  Then, she heard it.  Hundreds of dark shady whispers of secrets not yet revealed to mankind.  She turned around and looked through the corner of her eye to behold hundreds upon hundreds of shadows.  And there they were.  Hundreds and hundreds of shadow statues.

Another World
Chapter 2:
Being Taught A Lesson
"BUT NOTHING WAS THERE AND NOW SOMETHING IS THERE AND NOW I'M CONFUSED AND SCARED AND......AND....."  Bubble went on and on about how she never saw anything like this in her life while she lived in Bakersville.  She rambled about her staying longer than Mark like she did earlier.  She paced back and forth while Mark just looked at her awkwardly and  repled with yup, uh huh, and yes to keep her occupied.  While she muttered, Mark checked his watch and noticed the time.  He had only minutes to make it to his next class in magic.  Nervously, he interrupted Bubble,
"Bubble, i'm late for something of extreme importance.  You can choose to stay up here and ramble on to yourself or you can let me walk you to the door of my garden and I will be on my merry way."
Bubble retorted, "What could possibly be more important than listening to my problems and my lectures about me, being clearly better than you and not seeing these 'magic beings' all around Bakersville?!"
"How about a strict teacher who will slap me a lot if i'm late?"
Bubble cocked her head sideways and was puzzled that Mark had classes on the weekend.  "Well I have a birthday next weekend so at least remember that in everything that you do.  I expect you to take me to the abandoned mansion and have an adventure there AND for you to actually plan a normal side activity to do."
Mark rolled his eyes.  "I can try, i'm awful busy so don't blame me if I forget."

Mark ran as fast as he could to his secret lessons.  That was where he knew how to use his special abilities, or at least try to.  He met the teacher one day and she noticed something about him that made him special from other people.  That was the only reason why he even had these lessons in the first place.  Mark burst into the room with only seconds to spare on the clock.  The other classmates glanced back at him watching his every move.  They were all from different worlds and were born with their powers from heritage.  He knew he was from another world, but he never knew what one he was from.  Miss Autumn paced up to where Mark sat down and began, "You are late Mark."
"I am most certainly not!  It has just turned five o'clock and yet you say i'm late?!  No sir-i!  I am on time!"
"And that's what made you late.  Not being early.  Now sit down like everyone else."
Mark took a seat as the teacher came up to him and whacked him over the head with a long metal stick.
"OW!  What in the world was that for!?" He yelped.
"For your attitude and tartiness.  Don't be late again or I will remove you out of the class."
Many times, their teacher would pick out which people to personally train in special abilities, which was what she was doing now.  Only this time, she would only pick one apprentice out of the entire class.  There were 12 students in the class.  Most of them were experienced magicians while others were just there since their parents could pay for them to get in.  Mark got lucky, because the teacher picked him to be the 'free student of the year.'  Their teacher told them to make a simple fire-shot while Mark stood in the corner.  Never in his life had Mark ever used these so called abilities.  To make things worse, he turned 16 in a few months.  This was the time when most people could use their abilities.
"Mrs. August?" Mark asked.  "I don't know why I have not been able to use my abilities.  I have tried and the only thing I can do is just see magical creatures and that's it."
Mark was downcast that day.  He didn't want to inform the teacher of him being able to move shadow statues from one place to the other, since their teacher spoke of how shadows and shadow statues alike were evil and deadly.
"Well, it can mean three things.  Either you have not discovered that you have these abilities, which you already know that you have abilities.  You could be very special, and I seriously doubt that.  Or maybe your abilities are just too weak.  I have my thoughts that it's the third option."
"Hey!" Mark angrily replied.
"But this is my opinion Mark.  I am not sure what it is.  Many normal people usually get their diamond mark, which is the most common and normal under-leveled wizard mark, or their lightning bolt mark.  You don't have one yet."
Mrs. Autumn took off his glove and looked again.  There was still nothing there.  Mark, overcome with disappointment, left the class.  He knew the lesson would be about using magic that day instead of learning of the magic realm.  Grief clouded him like a rainy day.  He traveled to the abandoned house to clear his head.  He closed his eyes and dozed off to the sound of voices in a whispered tone.
The voices said, "The boy must never discover his powers.  He would be almost impossible to rid of once he knew what he was."
"Of course." The other voice replied.  "Besides, he is the perfect combination of darkness and raw power.  The combination the Shadow Wizard needs to conquer all of this world.  Since the Shadow Wizard defeated the world of original ancient magic first, there is no one else left to defend this world."

Another World
Chapter 3
A Night To Remember
Mark had forgotten how much he hated to sleep.  He always dreamt of the most disturbing images.  He would always see a great wall of shadows building up into a dark oblivion and only two people fighting for their lives.  He viewed the battle while his view faded into darkness.  He tried to get the images back to see the two people's faces, but the image was gone.  Mark opened his eyes slowly.  He was not where he fell asleep.  He was in a very large room with tall windows that stretched to the ceiling.  There were two big men guarding a chair.  Mark assumed there was a man in the chair, but the chair was turn towards the fireplace.  He was very alarmed to find himself in a different place, but he chose not to show it to the people beside him.
"Greetings Mark." the man in the chair started.  "It is a honor to meet such a young man like you here."
"Who are you?!  What do you want from me?" Mark responded in a troubled tone.
"Oh tsk tsk, that's not how you meet your old friend from the past.  Well, then again, somewhat of a friend.  Let's just say a blast from the past for me.  For you, it's more of a blast from the future"
Mark was startled to hear the man speak of things he never knew about.....never knew about yet.
"You see, i'm from your future and I would rather put an end to our little meetings here and now before you being meddling with any more of my plans.  I have decided to rid you of the world permanently this time.  So, shall we begin the process?"
The two men approached him and picked him up.  They had him in a tight grip around the arms.  Mark winced from the pain that shot straight up his arms.
"It's a pity it must end this way." the voice said.
The man in the chair turned around.  It took Mark a while to really understand who he was observing.  He saw a tall shady man with a faint scar over his cheek.  He had a grimace that could send shivers down anyones back.  His eyes looked empty and filled with rage.
"Since this is probably your first and last time meeting me, I am Malek, and it is a complete privilege to finally end things here and now between you......."  Malek grabbed Mark's shirt by the collar and finished with a smirk forming across his face and a evil look, "and me."
Mark was too frightened and tongue twisted to speak.  The men sat him down in a reclining chair and locked his arms and legs in the chair.  It was no use fighting against it.  The men were too big and he had never used magic before.  No hope shone in Mark's forlorn face.
"Aww, what's the matter Mark?  Can't you save yourself?" Malek smiled.  Mark angrily starred back at him.
"Oh yes, you don't have your powers!"  The chair dropped back harshly enough for one to have a headache for a week.  Mark groaned from the unexpected impact.
"As you see, by your head, is a rare plant.  This lovely plant makes it so you don't remember a single thing."
While Mark looked frustrated at Malek, he replied, "Don't worry about that.  I already don't know a whole lot of what is coming out of your mouth at all."
"OH OH OH, but that's not all it can do you obstinate child." Malek yelled frighteningly.  "It can also allow me to implant false memories of someone you never were and you would serve me.  Isn't that marvelous?"
Mark's face turned pale.
"The best part is that you can't do anything about it."
Hope diminished while Malek brought him near the plant, that looked similar to a venus flytrap.  Mark yelled out, "NO!!!!! STOP!!!!!"
Everything stopped.  Not a sound was made and nothing in that room moved.  Mark glanced around and everything was still.  Confused, Mark had no idea what just occurred at that moment.
"Do you need some help?" a voice spoke out.  Mark looked around and saw no speaker, just the voice.  "I can help you know."
His chair went up and the bonds around his feet and hands were released.
"You see, we are both bonded now."
"Bonded?  I don't even know who you are."
"I am your second half in your journeys amongst many lands, I am the key to many secrets, and I am.."  A light shone around Mark and a white and black crystal looking dragon appeared beside him.
"I am your servant."
The dragon pointed with his nose to Mark's hand.  He glanced at his hand and saw that it was lighting up.  The light was like nothing he had ever seen before with many colors.  The light died down and he beheld something impossible.

Another World
Chapter 4
Only The Beginning
Mark stared at his hand to witness the birth of the mark of magic. His mark was neither a simple diamond, nor a lightning bold. It was a black dragon.
"This is not possible! I have never been able to unlock my magic for years on end and i'm just getting them now?"
The dragon softly replied, "Dragon masters have very great power. Yet, your mark is that of a black dragon. These dragons are commonly known as shadow dragons. You have much to learn about your past. There are many dangers soon to come. Take Malek for instance. He is a very skilled magician and hates his magic. He will stop at nothing to end things here and now with you. For your sake, I will aid in you escaping from here."
The great dragon walked up to him and touched his mark. In merely a blink of an eye, the dragon vanished.  Mark looked around.
"Where did you go? I thought you said you would help."
"And help I will do. I have entered into the mark in your hand. The only way for me to truly help you, is if you lend me your magic for a while so that I can help us escape."
"How can I trust a dragon that I just met?"
"Because you had entrusted me with the one thing you have never told anyone."
The dragon whispered something and Mark stood motionless.
"Ok, I trust you then. Now, what do I do?"
"Take a deep breath, close your eyes, and focus."

Time resumed again. The two large men and Malek looked over at Mark. Malek became enraged and threw one of the men to the ground.
"I THOUGHT HE HAD NO MAGIC AROUND THIS TIME IN HIS PAST! YOU FOOLS!" Malek yelled.
Malek was so enraged with them about Mark being able to teleport from the chair to across the room.  Malek continued to yell until he noticed Mark sitting still with his eyes closed. From experience, Malek unfortunately knew what happened next. He charged Mark and Mark stood up and stopped Malek with his magic. Mark opened his eyes. His eyes were no longer their original color, they glowed a bright white. Mark pushed Malek against the wall with his magic and knocked out the two large men quickly.  He flew out and stood at the gates of the abandoned mansion. The dragon left from inside his mark and his eyes ceased to glow.
"Until you find me in accordance to your time line, you need only to call me to help you in any situation."
Mark stopped and replied with a thanks to the dragon.
"The mark on your hand is not suppose to appear until you are ready. Because there was no choice, you now have your mark early.  Many things can happen when this occurs. Be very careful when using any forms of magic, because your magic is much more powerful than millions of fellow beings with magic out there."
With that, the dragon vanished into the surrounding air. Mark, observing the sky, knew he was about to be late for his very first class.....of school.

Mark dashed for the door, but he was just seconds late for class.
"Good morning Mr. Mark. Your late........again." Mr. Christopher began.
"Must I count how many times you have been late, let alone the times you skipped class."
"But, I was up all night doing...." Mark's voice trailed off.
Mr. Christopher glared at him until Mark nodded his head and sat down. The first class of misery monday was in session.  Last night didn't help with his pop-quiz on Algebra II at all.  He sat down for lunch at the no-talking-allowed table to see Bubble hanging out with her friends at another table.  Despite what most people thought of his looks and character, Mark tried to stay out of most drama and trouble in the school. Mark wished for something adventurous on a lower level than what happened last night to happen this time. Even though adventure was soon to arrive at his school, this level of adventure was far more dangerous than the events of that night.

Chapter 5
Unexpected Acquaintances
After lunch, it was time for chemistry.  Mark hated this class the most since there were three crazy people that always blew stuff up at any chance they could.  It was the adventure for the day at that school.  On his way to class, Mark noticed a girl in a black hoodie sitting in the corner of the long hallway.  Everyone passed her rushing to their classes.  As soon as everyone was in their class, Mark approached her and started,
"Hey, are you ok?"
The girl shrugged and continued to stair down at the floor.  She looked up slowly and pulled the sleeves of her jacket over her arms and hands closely as if she was hiding something.  She appeared like one of the many students there that didn't have a home.
"Well, if you won't talk, i'm Mark.  If you need any help or don't have a place to stay, please feel free to come by my house for some food or something; or even to have someone to help with anything.  Maybe even a place to sleep for a night or two."
Mark handed her a piece of paper.  He looked concerned at her and hoped for her to be alright.
After Mark had entered chemistry and finished his day of school, it was back to Mrs Autumn's class.  Today, their lesson was about the element of wind.
"Now, I want you to practice breathing in and then letting the air out."
One of the arrogant wizards, who had a lightning bold mark, named Jacob spoke up,
"Aren't we suppose to do that all day everyday in order to live?"
The entire class chuckled except for Miss Autumn and Mark.
"Of course Jacob, and that's why you will be the first person to perfectly demonstrate this next wind move."
Mrs Autumn got into a pose of elegance and blew out of her mouth to create a miniature tornado that whisked through on of the girls hair and knocked only one hair out of place.
"No problem!"
Jacob blew out of his mouth and all that came out was hot air from his big head.  The class once again chuckled noticeably louder than before.  Mark looked down at his hands, closed his eyes, and blew out air from his mouth.  It made a gentle breeze through the room carrying a peaceful song in it.  Mrs Autumn stopped everything she was doing and sharply questioned,
"Which one of you did that?!"
Dead silence filled the air.  Mark spoke up,
"Um, well,"
"I did it!!!!" Jacob snorted.
Mrs Autumn looked impressed at him and said,
"Very very few wizards could ever do something like that.  To carry a message or a song through the wind takes years of practice and yet this is a new concept to all of you."  Mrs Autumn took him aside and that concluded the end of class.  Mark was still timid about speaking to anyone of his new found mark on his hand.  He sat on his front porch watching it.  The black dragon on his hand gave him chills down his spine.
"Why do I have to have such a mark like this?  Why can't I just be some normal average kid, who plays and hangs out with his friends like the rest of the world?"
Mark dropped his head down and tears filled his eyes.
"Why can't my parents come back for me....... Why did they have to be killed..."
With that being said, he cleared his eyes of the tears that filled them and entered into his house.  He looked over on the couch and saw the girl with the black jacket on his couch.  She was doing something Mark would have never expected.....magic

Chapter 6
The Backstabber
The girl stood up quickly and glared fiercely at Mark.  No doubt she was very angry that Mark found out.  Mark slowly spoke up,
"Well, would you like some coffee or something pleasant to drink or to eat for the moment?"
The girl seemed like she was going to attack him at any moment.
"No?  Ok then." He replied awkwardly.    "Well, your room is down the hall and the second door on the left and the bathroom is right next to it.  Enjoy!"
Mark cautiously darted for the kitchen door until the girl said,
"Thank you for everything I guess...."
She looked down at her feet and walked up to Mark.
"Please don't tell anyone about what you saw."
Mark looked at her with a puzzled look and replied,
"And what was that that I saw?"
He winked at her and went into the kitchen.  He prepped a small meal.  The only reason he cooked was because he was the only one there to make the food,  since he lived alone.  He knocked on the girl's door and placed a steaming tray of kale soup with bacon, sweet french sausage, and sliced potatoes.  The girl rushed to it and devoured it like she had not had any food for days.
"Thank you Mark."
"You are most welcome even if I don't know your name."  Mark headed for the door.
"It's Skia.  My name I mean is Skia."
Mark turned around and took a bow.
"Well it is a honor to meet you Skia.  I hope you enjoy your stay in my home."  Mark gave a warming smile and walked out.
Mark went to his room and sat on his bed.  He was exhausted from what had happened last night and throughout that day.  Mark was sure to sleep soundly.  He changed to his pajamas and took of his gloves.  He examined the mark of the black dragon on his hand more closely.  When he starred at it for a minute or so, it appeared to be moving by itself.  Mark knew something wasn't right with the mark on his hand.  Who was he?  What did his mark mean?  He became determined to speak with his teacher about his mark the next day.  He went to bed and dozed off.

"I'm in"
"Very good, very good indeed!"
"What are my next orders my lord?"
"Know him, study him, find his weaknesses, and discover how to destroy him from the inside out."
"Will that be all my lord?"
"One more thing, there is much you do not know about him and this is only a test run.  For all you know, he could be an ordinary human, or he could be the most powerful wizard in the entire realm.  Yet, that is for you to find out."
"As you wish."
With that, the two voices stopped in the middle of the night.  The one figure left the room while a very dark person stood in the corner of the room.  He looked exactly like Mark, but, his skin was black as night and he was a shadow himself.  His eyes lit up a dark ominous purple.  He gave a cruel and cold smile as the first figure strode out of the room.  Something horribly wrong was about to happen in Mark's near future.

Chapter 7
The Adventures of Bubble and Mr. Tag Along
Mark woke up to the buzzing of his phone.
"What......?
"Mark!!!! IT'S ME BUBBLE!!!!!"
"First off, it's 7am and I still have leeway to sleep in for another two minutes, and second, how did you get my phone number?!"
"Well, that really doesn't matter.  Anyway, I wanna skip school and have an adventure! I have been dying to have another adventure since our last one wit those....those....whatever they are called."
"Shadow statues......?" Mark murmured
"YEAH!  THAT WORD!  Well this is my early birthday gift that I want you to give me today.  So get up out of bed you lazy bum and lets have an adventure!"
"Fine.."  Mark groaned and hung up the phone.
He was not in the mood for another adventure.  Nonetheless, Mark got ready and called in the school with another lame excuse to skip out. Mark had no idea what he was getting into.
"Where have you been Mark?!  I have been waiting for like a half an hour."
"Considering you woke me up at the time you did and that I was grumpy, you should be thankful to me that it was only 30 minutes."  Bubble rolled her eyes and they walked through The Forest Bend.
"So where to Mr. Wonder?"
"Well lets have a milder adventure before we get into anything too major.  How about the Entrance?  I know about a secret entrance or something."
"You mean the tree house....?"
Mark was about to speak again but he remembered that it was indeed the tree house.
"Maybe I could make up my own adventure...."
"Hahahaha!  You, one of the most popular girls at school, can make up a really amazing adventure?!  I'd like to see that."  Bubble's face grew a bright red.
"FINE!  Watch me and gaze in awe."
Mark watched her walk around the forest for the longest time trying to make up an adventure.  This was one of her first times making up an adventure.  Not like the actual real adventures Mark had of course.  After a while she came up with a story line and the two acted it out.
"What shall we do with the boy?"
"That is not for you to worry about.  For you, I have told you to exploit his weakness.  Many people are after him and I want you to be the first one to him. He is the one I need to carry out my plans."
"Master, why can I not deal with him myself?  Surely the boy is....."
"ENOUGH!  You have heard my commands and you WILL carry them out.  Besides, it all began with him and with him, everything shall be brought to a brief and bitter end.  I will wait for the opportune time to reveal myself.  His little friend Bubble may be of assistance to us since she is so adventure hungry.  Malifore, my loyal grim slave, put on your disguise and play the good guy for our dear friend Mark."
A dark deep voice answered back,
"Yes my master."
The sound of a great wind flashed through the room and Malifore was gone.
"There is no place you can run or hide from me Mark.  I will find you!  And I will destroy you."

Another World
Chapter 8
Snooping Through the House of Another
Skia awoke when she heard the front door close.  She was wide awake.  She checked the time and decided to skip school.  She thought to herself
"Mark was probably getting a head start at school.  No wonder none of the girls there go after him."
She got up and paced to a checklist that was hidden under her jacket.
"Get into his house..... check."
She glanced down the list to see the second thing to do.  Explore and study who Mark really was.  She wrote next to it, 'in progress'.  She covered the list back up and began to look around.
After a unsuccessful hour of going through his room quietly, she went to the kitchen and searched for something for breakfast.  She opened the refrigerator to find left over spaghetti, salad, orange juice, brussel sprouts, and eggs.
"Oh goody, human food..."
She fixed up a quick plate of brussel sprouts and orange juice and continued to look.  It felt like hours while she searched through Mark's inventory of items in his room.  She had only finished one room and there were many more to go.  She checked the time and it was only 10 o'clock.
"Good thing I got a head start.  The only thing I found was some picture book from ten years ago with nothing but his friends and....."
She paused while she spoke to herself.
"But no baby pictures?!?!"
She rushed back to the book she picked up earlier while searching.  It only went back to when he was a mere 7 year old boy.  She wondered about this and noticed no pictures of his parents.
"Who are your parents?  Who are you Mark?"
She put the book back and headed for another room.
By the time it was 3 in the evening, she had searched every room thoroughly.  She sat on the floor in the middle of the hallway stroking her hair with her fingers.  She stood up and hit the wall.
"Who in this world are...."
She stopped again.  Her hand lit up and the wall lit up.  All kinds of different shapes appeared on the hallway wall and transformed into different colors.  One was a brilliant yellow, then pink, and then to green.  Once all the shapes were done moving around, the wall seemed to have collapsed and a dark corridor stood before her leading down.  She gazed into the pit and saw torches lit by some strange fire.  The fire was not a normal fire lit by our world, but a black and dark purple fire that gave off both a negative light and negative energy. To one, it would seem draining.
"Alright Mark, it's time for answers.  Who are you?"
She stepped down on the stairs and descended into a dark room.  All around were books and tables with different plants on them.  The plants were very alive staring at Skia.  There was a pedestal with a great big book in the middle of the room.  She carefully walked up to it and noticed statues in each of the corners of the room.  She knew full well who and what they were.
"Stay back!  Don't you dare come near me or I will burn this book!"
The shadow statues didn't move.
"I told you, don't come any closer!"
She was a bit panicked.  Then, she finally realized that they were just statues.  The shadow part of them must have detached from the statue long ago.  She relaxed and opened the book.  she could only open to the first page, but the rest of the book appeared to be blank.  No writing was on the paper but the first one.  She came back to the first page, which asked to read her hand to see who she was.  She closed the book and decided to leave the book like that.
"There must be some kind of diary or a book that doesn't belong here."
Skia then looked around and found a children's fairy tale book.  It was definitely a book that didn't belong.  She dropped the book on the floor to see the most visited page in it.  It opened to a story of 'The Invisible Kingdom.'  She began to read it until she heard the door open upstairs and a voice saying,
"Guess who's back?"
She turned pale and put the book back hurriedly.  She dashed up the stairs and ran into Mark at the very top.
"Ow!" Skia cried.
"Where did you come from?"
"Uhh....."
Mark looked behind her to see the corridor that lead down.
"I have not seen that before in my life.  Do you mind explaining to me what you were doing while I was off with my friend?"

Another World
Chapter 9
Truths and Secrets
They both starred at each other in dead silence for what had seemed as for forever.  Skia finally spoke up.
"Well, I was......well"
"Skia, I won't punish you or get too mad at you I think.  I know that if I was you, I would be nervous for the home I was staying in.  I want nothing but the truth.  You can trust me."
Skia glanced down at her shoes and shed a few tears.
"I'm.......i'm just so tired of all.......all the lies and secrets...."
She looked up to mark with a broken look on her face.
"I'm sorry Mark.  Please forgive me."
Mark came up next to her and gave her a hug.
"I will always forgive you Skia.  Just trust me more next time."
Skia chuckled "I will.  I promise."
She pulled away.
"And I want you to be the first one I trust.  You have been so nice to me even in the one day you showed me hospitality.  I think I trust you."
Skia looked down at the mark on her hand and continued.
"I will tell you if you promise not to freak out a whole lot.  Please?" Skia pleaded.
"Haha, I doubt that anything would scare me; but sure.  I promise."
Skia glanced around to double check that no one was watching.
"Ok.  Get ready for something really shocking."
All of the sudden, the mark on her had disappeared and her hand was normal.  Mark looked up at her eyes, but they were not the same.  Her eyes glowed a very dark purple and she herself turned into the thing he feared most.  A shadow.
"I know it is a lot to take in but you promised not to get all worked up."
Mark became pale but held his peace.  Skia continued, "I was sent on a mission to earn my freedom from this person called the shadow wizard, and the only way I can possibly get freedom is by capturing some kind of wizard.  They are called dragon masters."
Mark held onto his hand tightly in fear of her discovering.
She went on,
"That's why I went snooping around.  Maybe because you didn't know about the tunnels.  Maybe the previous owner was a wizard."
"That can be possible."
"Wait, Mark.."
Mark looked into her eyes.
"Since I trust you and you're the only one I trust, can you trust me?  I would never do anything to hurt you at all."
Mark looked at his hands.  He pulled off his glove to show her his mark.
"Is that...."
"This is the mark of a wizard.  See?  I'm just a simple diamond wizard so maybe I can help you."
Mark was able to pull off masking his true mark, but he didn't know how long he could keep it up.
"Wow!  Another wizard!  Well, i'm not a wizard but i'm a shadow.  Shadows run on energy, not magic."
"I know that already.  I have confronted quite a few shadows in my past."
The two conversed for some time.  Mark had forgotten to use magic to mask his mark and his mark reverted to the dragon.
"Mark, it's really cool that you are a wizard, but why is your mark now a dragon?"
He looked at his mark and beheld the sight.
"Uhh...well...."
"YOU'RE A DRAGON MASTER?!  WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME?"
"I was nervous!  At first you say something and then my magic goes all defensive and masked my hand."
"Please, no excuses.  I promised I would not hurt you so I won't.  Even if I am a shadow and it means my freedom, well, I guess you mean a whole lot more than my freedom."
Mark met her eyes once again.
"Skia, i'm sorry I didn't tell you.  I got nervous and worried that.."
"It's ok.  It happens a lot."
She turned to face the wall.
"You're not the first one to not trust me after I say the truth."
"It's not that at all!"
"But it is!  If I had never told you, then you wouldn't have hid your mark and who you really were!"
All of the sudden, a bright light had filled the room.  Skia reverted to human form quickly and Mark put back on his glove.  The sound of great wings filled the room and the two were brought into a trance of some sort.  They looked up to see the night sky and them walking on a road of brilliant and bright light.  Mark's dragon had appeared in a wondrous fashion.
"My master."  He began in a deep and loyal voice.
"I have news of....."
The dragon cut himself short and saw the girl.  He backed away slowly with an evil look in his eyes.
"Master, back away from that monster."
"It's fine!  She is a friend."
"You say that now until she betrays you.  She is a shadow!"
"I know, and yet I still trust her.  As for you, I have only encountered you once and how should I know to trust you?"
The great dragon eyed the girl sharply.  Skia had a look of terror in her eyes and her skin became pale.  She dropped to her knees in complete shock.
"What have you done?!"
"I have done nothing Master.  I was just standing here."
Mark rushed over to Skia and picked her up.
"Return us back to my home."
"But Master..."
"Now!"
The dragon disappeared and they returned home.  Mark walked Skia to her bed and put her down to sleep.
"Does the boy suspect anything?"
"Of course not my Lord.  He suspects nothing.  I was not able to see him today but there is still time left."
The figure slammed down his fist on his chair.  His fist began to glow a negative dark energy.
"I gave you simple orders to observe the boy and yet you missed him for a complete day!  You know that this is not tolerable in my kingdom."
"Please forgive me!  I have a family!"
"I show no mercy to those who serve me unfaithfully!"
All that was left on the floor was a pile of dust.
"Nothing will stand in the way of my plans."
A shadow dragon had entered into the dark hall.
Malifore spoke in a wicked and shadowy voice,
"It is done Master."
A smirk appeared on the face of the shadow wizard.
"Then the time for me to meet our foe is almost at hand."

Chapter 10
Back To Normal
Mark was worried to leave Skia at his home in the condition she was in, but he had to attend school.  He decided to leave and spend the afternoon with Bubble.  Skia moaned as he opened the door.  He turned sharply around and worried even more.  He just had to hope for the best.  He went out the door just in time to miss Skia moan,
"Don't.....don't trust your.....your dragon..."
It was a bright, sunny day in the wonderful Bakersville.  A gentle autumn breeze filled the air.  The breeze could be eerie enough during nighttime just in time for halloween.  He entered his school room on time.  Instead of expecting a stuck up teacher, a sub was there instead.
"Hello class!  I am Mr. Horse.  I will be teaching your math for the rest of the semester or the rest of the year.  Sadly, your teacher had a terrible accident and is in the hospital."
Looks were going around the room and eyes met.
"Attention class!  I am speaking and require full attention!"
A student raised their hand.
"Yes blake?"
"What kind of a last name is Mr. Horse?"
Giggles went across the room.
"Detention Mr. Blake.  No excuses and no words."
Mr. Horse had a certain creepy look about him while Blake left the room to head straight to detention.
After talking about logarithms, tanX, sinX, and cosX, Mr. Horse called Mark up to have a talk after class.  Mark leisurely paced to his desk and asked,
"Yes Mr. Horse?"
"I would like to ask you something."
"And that is?"
"I have been looking for one of my students and thought you might know her.  Her name is Skia Helms."
"Uhh,"
"It is alright if you do not know where she is.  I'm just a little worried."
"Well I do.  She is actually sick and she is staying at a friends house I believe."
"Alright, thank you Mark."
"You're welcome!"
Mark sped to the door until he heard,
"And Mark,"
Mark turned around.
"Yes?"
"I notice that your last name is missing on all of your papers and on all your school files.  Do you mind telling me your last name?"
Mark became very worried and slightly pale and reasoned,
"That is for the principle to worry about.  You can bring it up with her and inform her."
Mr. Horse looked at him awkwardly.
"Why won't you tell me your last name?  I don't see how it is such a problem."
"As I stated earlier, bring it up with the principle.  Besides, it doesn't really matter does it?"
After school, he met up with Bubble at the coffee shop.  She was looking around for him no doubt.
"Hey Bubble!"
"Mark!!!!  Where were you?!  I was waiting for a good 10 minutes."
"Sorry, I got caught up in getting books in my backpack when Blake bumped into me on 'accident'."
Bubble rolled her eyes and ranted,
"You were saying one day that i'm not ready for the Kooky Spooky mansion.  So, for my special birthday gift, we are going there."
She winked and ran off very fast.
"Wait up!!"
They walked up to the abandoned mansion together.  The walls towered upwards.  The house was in no great condition at all.  The windows were cracked and dirty, cobwebs covered everything, dust made it difficult to breath even outside!
Bubble began,
"Alright, how in the world do we enter into this mansion.  It opens in a week so no one can enter."
Mark rolled his eyes.
"Watch the magic!"
He snapped his fingers and the double doors opened.  Bubble's eyes were wide open.
"Wh..wh...wh...wh...what?!"
"Tada!  Magic."
Bubble looked at him with eyes of disbelief.  Mark laughed lightly at her and walked in without her.
"Wait!  You are not going in without me!"

Another World
Chapter 11
Shadows
They entered into the abandoned mansion and it was kookier and spookier than the outside.  The wallpaper that covered the walls were covered in eyes.  Eyes of different designs and shapes.  If you looked closely enough, you could see the eyes following your every step.  Whispers filled the air of the presence that filled the old room.
"Wow, it's creepier in here than I remember."
"It grows on you after a while Bubble.  No worry."  He grinned and went up the stairs.  Bubble ran up next to him and almost knocked him over forewords.
"Woah, careful there."
"Well that's easy for you to say!  I'm freaking out!"
Mark used self control to keep himself from laughing very hard.
"Sorry."
They both walked up the stairs and saw a big door at the top.
Mark teased, "Want me to check if there are any monsters?"
Bubble smacked him hard on the shoulder and retorted,
"I am just fine thank you very much!"
"Ow! Haha ok ok!"
Mark went to open the doors, but the door moved away from his hand and opened by itself.
"Are you trying to creep me out?!"
"Uh, no.  I didn't open the door normally or with magic at all."
"Wait, you have magic? Hahahaha!  I thought everything was a trick!  Oh well, keep playing your games."
Mark decided to not answer back to that insult.  They looked around the room for a while.  Every now and then, books floated in the air, a feather pen wrote in invisible ink inside a book, the clock ticked some what silently, and the candle stick on the table flamed up very high every now and then.
"Ok,  Mark, let's just say that I some what believe you now."
Mark turned to her and cocked his head sideways.
"And now you believe me?"
Mark paced to the bookshelf and Bubble looked at the feather pen and watched it write.  Mark observed the books that moved, and the books that stayed still.  About all of the books floated, all except one.  Mark pulled the book down and all the flying books dropped to the ground.  Bubble jumped and turned around pale looking.
"What was that for?!"
"Sorry, I just picked up this book and all of them fell!"
"Whatever....."
Mark cracked open the book and whispers filled the room.
"Do you hear that?"
"Hear what?"
"All the voices in the room.  There are so many."
"Mark, there are no voices in the room."
"Ok...."
Mark dropped to his knees covering his ears harshly.  Bubble turned around and yelled out,
"Mark!  Oh my gosh, are you ok?  Please don't be dying, please don't be dying."
"There are too....many voices......in my head.."
Bubble looked up and stood up.
"Ohhh, I get it.  This is one of your 'lets scare Bubble again!' tricks."
The whispers stopped suddenly and Mark stood up.
"You're right, I am just kidding with you."
Bubble smacked him again.
"Well cut it out!"
Bubble waltzed back to the table to watch the feather pen write again.  Mark, still sore, paced back over to the bookshelf and picked up the same book.  He opened it and saw just the first page to realize they were in big trouble.
"Bubble....."
"Wait, I got something more important then what you are about to say!"
"Bubble......"
"This feather pen is writing about..."
"Bubble....."
"About us!  It's like some sort of log of what people..."
"Bubble......"
"...Do in the Kooky mansion!  See?!"
"Bubble........"
"NO! you had enough time to talk and creep me out!"
"BUBBLE!  PLEASE LISTEN!  This book is also a log, but it is about a log of what use to be here and what is still living here!"
Bubble paused and stood silently.
"This book is about shadow statues that lived here."
"So...?
"So, the book says they are still here."
Bubble looked around and blabbered, "Does that mean we are being watched?!  Are we in danger?!  Oh my goodness Mark, you were right!  I'm not fit for this kind of adventure!"
"Please calm down....  We are going to walk out of here quietly and safely."
He informed her to take a deep breath and walk out of the room slowly.  They closed the door and dashed for the door.
"Phew!  I thought we were gonna be goners!"
They looked all around and a eerie mist had swept onto the fields of the mansion.
"Wait, fog never gets this high up over Bakersville.  Yet there is fog here.."
They looked at the exit gate from the abandoned mansion to the edge of the cliffs and saw a very dark figure with his head hanging down.
He raised his head slowly in a sickly fashion and opened his eyes.  His eyes lit up a dark purple that could send shivers down a persons spine.  Mark and Bubble looked terrified.  Mark stepped foreword to defend Bubble, but the figure moved his hand quickly and Mark moved with it.  Mark flung back against the mansion walls and collapsed.  Bubble stood aghast as the figure darted towards her.  The figure stopped right before her and only moved his finger.  She fell backwards and was out cold.  Mark staggered up and ran towards the figure saying,
"Don't hurt my friends!!!!"
The figure put his hand up to stop Mark.  He froze and the figure looked straight into his eyes.
"Hello,  Mark." The figure said with a low and eerie voice.  "It's been too long since we last met."
He smirked but it was difficult to tell that he did so.  His skin was pitch black like a black hole and his eyes were far too dark of a purple to tell if he was alive anymore or had a soul.  The figure put his hand down to release Mark from his spell.
"Don't touch my friends."
The figure chuckled, "We both know that your power is nothing compared to mine."
"I don't even know you!"
"Oh, really?  I guess you don't remember me from all those years ago.  Trust me, you do know me.  You just haven't figured it out yet."
He backed up into the mist around him and vanished.
Mark dashed to Bubble's side, picked her up, and carried her back to the safety of her home and her family.

Another World
Chapter 12
Surprises
Mark entered into his home with a distraught look on his face.  Skia was awake now and walked up to him.
"You should have not brought her on that adventure."
"I know...."
"No, you don't." Skia gave a grave glance to Mark.  She continued, "Humans should not come in contact with the magic realm or else she will begin to be opened up to the many dangers that comes with it!"
"Skia, I realize that now.  I won't take her on any more adventures."
Mark walked over to the couch and sat down lazily.  He was contemplating so much at that moment about Bubble, the shadowed figure, the dragon that claimed to be...........Mr. Horse?!?!
"Skia...."
"What Mark?"
"Since you are a magical being, can humans see you?"
"Well....no they can't....."
"Well that's odd since my teacher named Mr. Horse seemed to know that you were missing from one of his classes."
"What?!  I'm not even on the school files at all!  I just hang out there to see if anyone notices me......to see if they are also...."
Mark looked at her with a sullen look on his face.  Skia finished, "magical......."
Mark dropped his anger and resumed, "Well, anyway, how does he know about you if he can't see you?"
"Who said he can't see me?"
The two looked at each other and were both nervous.  After a pause, Mark began,
"I'm just going to clear my head for a while..."
Mark left the house and traveled to the Forest Bend near the caves.  He sat down and shut his eyes. He tried to rest.  He couldn't get over how he brought Bubble into that kind of danger.  He sighed and whispered to himself, "How did all of this even happen..?"
The voice of a young boy filled his mind replying, "Maybe because you decided to show Bubble what magic is."
Mark jumped in his chair and looked around.  He shouted, "Who's there?"
A light appeared in front of him and started, "Hi there Mark.  You have probably met enough new faces for the day huh?  Lucky for you, I don't have a face in this world!  Well.......in the world i'm in now, I can't talk.  The only way i'm communicating to you is by magic, and there is something I must tell you."
Mark stopped the young voice, "Why should I trust you?  You were right about the part where I have met enough new faces.  I don't want to talk to anymore new people."
"Ok, well, I don't have a face so it's ok, ok?  I can prove why you should trust me in two ways."
The light moved around Mark strangely and moved up and down very quickly.  Mark gave a puzzled look.
"What are you doing...?"
"You're about to see."
Mark's hand lit up and he saw that he was doing magic unintentionally.  Mark's face turned to shock and he stared at his hand and watched the fire.  The fire was put out when the light stopped moving.
"See?  I can control your magic."
"That proves nothing for trust.  That only proves that you can use people's magic against them."
"No!  I can only use the magic of those who trust me."
"Then how did you use my magic, because I really don't trust you at all."
"Because your future self trust me.  That's why."
"Oh, more of the 'I'm from your future.' and 'Oh, you can trust me,  I can give you magic and i'll ruin your friends in the process.'  I have had enough of that!  Just leave me alone"
"No.  I'm not like that."
Mark stated, "Ok, then explain why I should still trust you with your second reason."
The light dropped in agitation.  "I had no idea you were this fussy and stubborn in your past.  Very well."
The light came close to his ear and whispered something.  Mark's attitude changed as he watched the light.
"Just because you know that doesn't really mean that I can trust you.  Someone kind of like you whispered me the same thing.  That doesn't mean i'll trust you."
"Just hear me out!  I have imperative news.  Please listen carefully."
Mark glanced up and listened.
"There is one, hidden amongst your friends, that is a traitor.  Do not trust this person.  When you turn away from all your true friends and look up to this person for help, this person will reveal who they truly are.  And then, it will be too late."
Mark was shocked to even hear something like that.
"In due time,  once it is hardest to see clearly,  you will then find who is your friend and who is your enemy.  Those you trust will become your worst nightmare and those you betrayed have been loyal to you throughout all you have done to them."
Mark looked away and was overcome with grief.  "Why does my future already look so grim?"
"It won't stay like that forever.  You will find many amazing things in your journeys.  You meet me!  I gotta say,  that was life changing."
Mark looked up and spoke in sarcasm, "I feel better already...."
"That's all for now.  Nice meeting your past self!"
Mark's eyes grew wide as a portal opened to bring back the light to it's time.
"I don't even know your......"
The light had left the room.
"........name..."

Another World
Chapter 13
Strange Happenings
With a sigh of confusion, Mark slowly managed his way back to the house.  The sky grew dark and the streets were clear of everyone.  Skia jumped up when he entered the door.
"Mark!  What happened?  Where were you?"
"I was just taking a walk through the woods.  That was it." Mark replied.
Mark went to his room and fell asleep.  Later that night, a strange blue glow came from Mark's room giving off some strange energy.  Things were going to get bumpy in his life.
Mark woke up the next day with a startle.  He sat up in his bed and felt different.  He looked around and didn't see anything peculiar.  He got up and ready for the day not paying attention to his reflection.  Skia walked out of her room, glanced at Mark and dropped her coffee all over the floor with her mouth wide open.
"Why did you just stain my carpet and why are you looking at me so creepily?"
"Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh"
"Uhh what?"
Skia chuckled very loudly and began, "Have you looked in the mirror lately?"
"No...why...?"
She chuckled again, "It seems like someone went to the salon last night...."
"What?!"
Mark ran to the bathroom as Skia broke down in laughter.  Mark looked at his reflection and his hair had went from brown to a very blue color.  His eyes also were no longer green, but silver.  He looked at himself in terror of what his teachers would think.
Skia walked by the bathroom and giggled, "I wonder how you're going to school today...."
Mark gave her an upset look but not an angry one.  He walked out the door with his hoodie over his head.  Skia couldn't help but laugh while he walked out of the house while she had the whole day to herself again.
Mark arrived at school and the entire school looked at him.  People stopped talking, glanced for a moment, and returned to their business.  Mark walked to his locker just to find some of the school bullies there.  Blake, Jacob, and Michel were right by his locker.  Jacob was from magic class so he knew more about Mark than anyone else in the school.
Blake began, "So what is the talk of the school doing coming to his locker?"
Mark countered, "I'm not 'the talk of the school' at all.  Why don't you pick on someone your own size or someone who is more popular than you?  I'm not interested in any drama so please no arguing."
Jacob put his hand on Mark's locker loudly and looked at him with an angry face. Blake and Michel left while Jacob spoke quietly, "Why is it that people like you so much when you have no magic?"
"Who said anything about liking me?"
Mark managed to get by Jacob and get his books in time for class.  Mr. Horse was extra picky today and didn't pick on Mark until around the end of class.  Before that, Blake got another detention session for chewing gum in his class, which was absurd for that school.  One of the girls was also put up for detention for texting in class.
"Mark,"
"Yes Mr. Horse?"
"I know that you are doing homework ahead of time unlike the rest of class, and thus, I have been lenient with punishment.  Yet, I would like it if you took off your hood.  I don't tolerate hats on in class for the sake of someone closing their eyes or secretly listening to music in my class."
"But Mr. Horse, you know I wouldn't do that."
"I know, but if I gave you a pass then other students could get a pass for wearing hats or hoodies in my class."
Right when Mr. Horse finished, the bell rang.  All the students quickly packed their belongings and headed straight out.
"Mark..."
"Yes?"
"You got lucky this time."
Mark had a small glimmer of hope right then in the form of a grin and left the class.  He barely got out of class alive.  The students with mental conditions such as craziness and not thinking before acting blew a hole in the science lab wall.  Mark was paired with them while they shot a dead, half dissected pig into history class.  A few of the girls screamed while they left the history classroom.  The crazy students simply argued, "It was in the name of science!!"
That ended that argument with paying for the damage.  While the students left the building, Jacob pulled at Mark's shirt and brought him aside.  The jolt jerked off his hood revealing his blue hair and eyes.  Jacob stepped back and started, "What did you do to your hair?!"
"I woke up like this!  I'm not sure if it is something to do with my..."
Jacob covered his mouth and continued, "I am the top student of magic class and you are not going to get in my way."
Mark yanked Jacob's hand from his mouth and retorted, "How can I even be a bit of worry to you if I don't have magic?!"
Jacob remained silent and stormed off.  Mark had no idea what was getting into people these days.

Another World
Chapter 14
New Faces
Mark went to magic practice and he still couldn't use magic.  He tried over and over, but his magic was of no use.  He saw Jacob glaring at him while he sat in the corner watching everyone attempt to hold water.  Most of the students failed but Jacob was set to impress Miss August; and of course he did.  Mark had to take his hoody off in the middle of class to demonstrate what happens when your 'magic potential' comes out.  Mark was embarrassed to even be called a wizard.  He gloomily trudged home to face another day at school.  During school, one of the girls asked Mark if he could help her with her studies.  Some of the girls giggled across the room while she asked.  Mark knew this was not a good idea, but he agreed.
After school, he walked through the forest bend in Bakersville while talking about school.  The girl then interrupted, "Who do you like in school?"
"I thought this was suppose to be about school and not who we like." Mark replied.
"Well, my friends dared me to ask you so...."
Mark could see that she was lying but he didn't care.
"Well," began Mark.  "There isn't anyone right now but i'll be willing to continue with school."
The girl looked at him with a strange look and replied, "All the girls like you at school even with your blue hair."  She took off Mark's hoody that covered his head an continued.  "Why is it that you don't have an eye for anyone?"
"Look, i'm not into all of this drama and I never was.  You better look somewhere else for that."
The girl gave him a mean look and ran out of the woods.  Mark almost yelled for her to wait, but he looked deeper into the woods more and found something very different.
Mark ran deeper into the woods and saw trees shrouded in darkness.  No one dared to enter that deep into the woods because of the tales about them.  Some said that there were creatures of unspoken hideousness and twisted things dwelled there.  He wandered to the separation of The Forest Bend, and the Twisted Woods.  He was in the small clearing of trees called The Gateway.  The trees looked like they had once been glimmering bright white trees that gave off a blue light, but a black mist surrounded them.  He heard music as he went farther into the forest and saw someone.  He saw a beautiful young lady, who's white flowing hair reached her knees.  She had a young face and she walked barefoot in the woods.  She played a worn black violin and it seemed to be causing the mist to appear.  She noticed Mark suddenly and she continued to play.  He walked into the Twisted Woods and the air itself changed to a thin and frightening sense.  More mist appeared all around and Mark began, "You know, it's kind of dangerous in here."
The girl saw him talking and she began to walk away closing her eyes while she played.
"Excuse me?  I should correct myself, IT'S VERY DANGEROUS IN THESE WOODS.  You should probably stop playing and...."
While he was talking she stopped and he kept going.
".....maybe, just maybe you should....oh i don't know....RUN?!?!"
The girl looked around and realized that there was dark mist shrouding the woods.  She gave a nervous look to Mark and said astonishingly, "So this does work!"
Mark cocked his head sideways and ran up to her.  He grabbed her hand and said, "Shadows.  Coming.  Run!"
He held her hand while they were running.  Dashing through the woods, Mark felt like he made a terrible mistake wandering farther into the woods.  They stopped in a clearing and turned around to see that the mist was catching up.
"We can't outrun it!" Mark exclaimed.
"Then we can fight it."
The girl got into a pose as to fight it with magic.  Mark ignored that and yelled at the top of his lungs, "DRAGON!"
The girl turned around sharply and the dragon appeared before them.  The girl had a look of terror in her eyes when she saw the dragon.  The dragon then went into Mark and Mark's hand lit up and his eyes gave off a bright white light.  He turned to the shadows and shot a beam of bright light into it.  Once that had happened, all the shadows were gone.  No shadows were left.  The dragon came out of Mark, glanced at the girl, and flew away before a single word left the girls mouth.  The two exchanged looks and the girl started, "Well if that's enough for the evening then I can be on my way."
Mark stopped her.  "Wait!"
The girl stopped.  She turned around and listened to Mark.
"I don't even know who you are."
"That really doesn't matter, does it?"
She went around looking at the trees and it seemed to be like she was talking to someone in the trees. She turned away from Mark and ran off.  Mark charged after her and held her down against the wooded floor of the forest and lightly shouted, "I'm going to ask one more time, who are you?"
"I'm no-one you need to know.  Let me up!"
Mark got up and continued, "Sorry about that.  I have just been meeting way too many people I don't know and they just run off without telling me who they are."
Mark looked at her again and asked, "Let me start over.  Hello, i'm Mark.  Do you need any help?"
"Well...umm....."
"I can help with anything."
"No thank you, but thank you for the offer."
She started to leave and then she left Mark with her last words for that moment.
"I'm Summer, and you?"
"I'm Mark.  A honor to meet you."
"A honor to meet you too."
Just like that, she disappeared into the air around him.  Mark looked around again to make sure he wasn't dreaming that girl.  He felt ashamed for holding her against the forest floor like that.  That was an uncharming first impression.  He jogged back home.  More and more, each day felt like a big circle.  All he did was go to school, go to magic class, meet a new person, and nothing was accomplished.  Yet, Mark had no idea that his journeys and adventures were intertwined with her own adventures.  The journey had just begun.

Another World
 Chapter 15
Shadowed Plans
"But my Lord, I have tried everything to capture the boy.  I just need another opportunity!"
The shadowed figure sat on his throne just watching one of the other shadow slaves beg and give petrified glances all around.  Good, the Shadow Wizard thought to himself.  He should be afraid of what is coming to him.  A evil smirk appeared on the Shadow Wizard's face as he walked down from his throne.  The other shadow stood as still as stone while he observed his master walk frighteningly closer to himself.  The Shadow Wizard picked the slave up with his magic.
"Well," said the Shadow Wizard.  "It should be good to know for you, that I forgive you of your failure."
The shadow sighed in relief.
"But......"
The shadow tensed up in fear again.
"I will no longer need your help.  Goodbye."
The Shadow Wizard watched him squirm in his grasps as he sucked the life out of what remained of the shadow.  The slave faded to dust and crumbled to the floor in a large pile of ash.  The Shadow Wizard walked back to his throne and hoped to have someone that wouldn't fail him anymore.  Just then, a robed figure in white walked into the room.  At last, more people who had great power that he threatened often will now take care of his bidding.  The figure knelt to the ground and bowed.  The Shadow Wizard began, "Rise,"
The figure rose from where it stood.
"I have a task for you.  Fail me, and I will not hesitate to snuff the light and magic from your soul."
The robed figure showed no sign of fear, but the Shadow Wizard could sense the figure was frightened almost out of its wits.
"I want you to put an end to a certain boy.  This can be a test for you.  If he lives, then it can show your failure in full.  If he dies, well,"
The Shadow Wizard gave a deathly smile that would send shivers down even the most courageous of men's backs.
"then he dies."
The robed figure still didn't move from its spot and waited for the boy's name.
"The boy can be found in one of the smaller houses in the town of Bakersville.  Find him and kill him.  His name........"
The Shadow Wizard hesitated for a moment before giving the lingering information yet to be given to the robed figure.
"is.....No.......I mean, Mark"
The figure seemed shocked.  One could only tell because of how quickly the figure rose its head.  The figure almost began to speak, but the Shadow Wizard spoke for it.
"You think that he is much stronger than you, and indeed he is."
The Shadow Wizard slammed his fist against the arm of his chair.  A sliver of wrath shone in his eyes and he yelled,
"I DON'T CARE IF HE IS OR NOT!  YOU WILL OBEY ME AND LEST YOU FAIL, YOU WILL BRING UPON THE FATE OF HIM THAT I ORDERED TO YOU!"
The figure bowed its head in awful respect to him and fled from the room gracefully.
Mark stretched as he finally managed his way out of the woods and walked through the neighborhood.  He looked around and nothing stirred. It was odd since the sun was almost set and the leaves kept falling from the trees.  It was thanksgiving break for the week, but the only family he had to celebrate it with was Skia.  He walked through the door into his house and almost collapsed in weariness from such a long walk.  He walked down the hallway to get to his room, but he saw the hidden passage in his hallway opened.  He looked in before he went to make sure nothing was wrong.  Mark stepped down into the darkness and found the light at the bottom.  He watched Skia reading a book in the corner of the room.  Mark finally made it to the final step just in time for Skia to look up from her book.
"Hello Mark.  Sorry about snooping around....again...."
Mark shook his head, "No, I let you stay here so all of my secrets and everything I have is also yours."
He smiled as she gave a look of both an inexpressible joy and disbelief.  She rushed over to Mark and gave him a big hug.  She finally stepped back and said, "Sorry, I just, never had anyone care about me so much."
Mark smiled again, "It's always a honor for me to help others.  I don't need anything in return.  Just seeing the looks on people's faces is a gift enough for me."
He winked at her before climbing up out of the darkness into the hallway.  Even though the sun was fully set and the moon had risen, it was still bright enough to make him wince from the brightness of the light.  He walked into his dark bedroom and the weariness finally hit him.  All he could manage to do to be prepared for bedtime was to close the door behind him, pull off his shirt, and collapse onto the bed.  Soon, he was fast asleep in the safety of his bed.  If he had stayed awake any longer, he would have noticed a very faint sound of footsteps in his room tiptoeing to his bedside.  And if he had any strength left in him, he would have been able to stop the blade that was unsheathed and was now in the hands of the robed figure that starred at him and was about to strike.

Chapter 16

Mr. Chesterton's Rose Garden

As light poured over the hilltops of Bakersville and revealed a bright and gorgeous day, something strangely irregular occurred at Mark's next-door neighbor's house; Mr. Chesterton.  He waltzed into his rose garden and began to tend to his rose garden.  His most prized gold roses were placed in the center of the garden for the sake of receiving the most sunlight of the entire garden.  The sun rose higher into the sky and all the shadows of night had faded away.  As Mr. Chesterton worked his way around the garden, he came to the center of his garden.  His prized and favored rosebush seemed to be in the shade.  He looked up and half expected a cloud covering the sky.  There wasn't a cloud in the sky.  He looked around for the object casting the shadow, but there was nothing there.  He knew that one day he would go crazy like his wife always told him, but for it to come so soon was startling.
Mr. Chesterton walked deep into the edge of The Forest Bend to share his troubled thoughts with his friends.  He walked into the tavern and ordered a spiced apple cider.  One of his friends, who claimed to be a pirate and looked exactly like one, sat down beside him sipping on his spiced and warmed apple cider with a dash of cinnamon.
"How are ye doin' laddie?"
Mr. Chesterton looked up and replied,
"Well...."
"Here we go again...." cried a voice across the room.
"Just, here me out.  I was watering my rose garden and above my precious golden rose bush was a shadow."
The pirate lifted an eyebrow while he listened.
"So, I looked up to see if there had been a cloud, but there was none!  Not a cloud in the sky or an object to cast any shadow on anything."
The voice replied,
"Just the other day I heard Jimmy Glover saying his fence boards had turned upside down in the middle of the night.  Just like that!  Do you expect me to also believe that there are invisible objects casting strange shadows on prized plants?"
"I have heard of a creature...." the pirate chimed in.  The two men began to listen to him with careful ears.
"This creature has said to do this very thing.  Casting strange shadows on the most wonderful of things.  This creature can rarely be seen.  Few have seen it and survived.  Many say it has a nose of........a human."
"No!" The man said baffled.
"That's a new one." Mr. Chesterton murmured while sipping on his spiced apple cider.
"but be warned, it has a foul face and when it is seen........."
The pirate held a dramatic pause and left it at that.
"This is too much for me." the voice said with the figure shaking its head and leaving the tavern very shaken.
"So, first there are flipping fence boards, and now there are invisible creatures...... barely visible creatures with a nose of a human?!?!?!"
Mr. Chesterton walked out without taking another sip of his spiced cider from all that was discussed.  Maybe there was some kind of creature and it would leave eventually.  None of them ever fathomed that this was only one of the small complaints of mysterious shadows appearing all over Bakersville.
Mark woke up slowly staring at the roof.  He cleaned his eyes while sitting up and glanced around the room.  He moved his legs to the edge of the bed and forced himself up.  Getting ready for the day would be the hard part of that day.  He gave a long stretch and began to get ready.  Before he knew it, he found himself making his way to magic class.  They were learning about the history of different families with specific classes of magic.  He was anything but thrilled for the class.
"....The Cearfoss family is known for their wind magic.  This magic is very difficult to master.  So, this family of people mastered peace of mind to be able to control wind.  Anyone with that last name and has the blood of their family can have great ease with this type of magic."
One of the people in the crowd gasped and was giggling.  It's was probably Tiffany Cearfoss, Mark thought to himself.  Sure enough, she walked up and became the spectacle of the class for the next three seconds before Mrs. Autumn shooed her back to her seat.  She continued to call off names that were some of the last names of the people there.  Even Jacob Kenworth's name was called.  The last name was called, but Mark didn't recognize it.  Class was dismissed and Mark walked up to where Mrs. Autumn stood.  Before Mark reached her, Jacob cut in front and gloated at his ability to be able to control fire.  He put on a display of his magic and was silenced by a stern rebuke from Mrs. Autumn before walking out.
"Mrs. Autumn....?"
Mrs. Autumn turned around and saw Mark.
"How may I help you today Mark?"
"Well....."
He looked down and considered sharing his only secret he knew about himself with her......his true name.
"Yes?"
"I was wondering.....do you know all the family names of the wizards?"
Mrs. Autumn replied,
"Not all.  There are far too many for that.  I had to research some of the last names of the families here.  Yet, I do know some of the more ancient ones.  You probably never heard of any of them since these groups of wizards were cut off from this realm many millennia ago."
She reached for a book and took it down.  Mark seemed interested and listened closely.  She opened the book to a page titled "Keystone".  She described that name along with the names Wolfstone, Zorn, Shadowfire,
"And the DarkWings."
Mark looked up quickly and listened closer than ever.
"The DarkWings are a legendary family and are known for mastering an element that is nearly impossible to master.  This element unlocks the ability to master every section of magic, and this family was able to do just that.  They were sealed off from all other worlds because of their power."
"Then, how do people know about them?"
Mrs. Autumn sighed.
"To be honest, I should not have told you even that."
She closed the book and placed it back on the shelf.
"Mark, all secrets and hidden truths like these have costs.  Free knowledge of the hidden secrets of magic are gifts.  You are learning much in class and you shouldn't pry into these matters."
Mark was about to speak up but couldn't manage to find his voice to say anything.  Mrs. Autumn gave a smile before leaving the room.  Mark shot his eyes to the book and looked at it with wonder.  When Mrs. Autumn left the room, a whisper that was almost not audible whispered these words: Behold, the High King of Kalareth.  The one of two who will restore peace to the realms and bring balance to the rampage of darkness and shadow.  Behold, High King Noran DarkWing.

Chapter 17

Awakening

Mark, like all the other days, managed his way back home.  Skia was asleep and all was silent.  Nothing strange stirred in the house and not even a sound was made.  Mark walked down the hallway slowly.  He glanced towards his bedroom; wanting to step further.  Something stopped him.  He looked down at his hands and saw them in the dull moonlight from the windows.  He turned to the stairwell that lead to the black abyss and moved his feet foreword.  He stepped into the pitch blackness of the passageway and reached the bottom.  He groped through the darkness until he reached the center of the room.  The lantern on the center table was blown out, but he easily rekindled the fire.  He searched the room to see if anyone was there, but no-one was.  He took a deep breath and removed the single glove from his hand.  He saw the mark of the black dragon there and it felt like it gave off some kind of negative energy.  He touched the mark with his other hand, but nothing happened.
Mark focused, closed his eyes, and remembered the things that Miss Autumn had taught the other students, while he sat in the far edge of the room.  Concentrate.  Take big breaths, and imagine the cold breeze that gently brushes against your cheeks as winter rolls its hidden beauties in from the Northern Reach.  He slowly opened his eyes to behold ice crawling up the sides of the wall.  He was stunned and overjoyed while looking around.  He had just used magic for the first time, on his own, in his life.  Mark then decided to take it to another level; to make an ice shard.  He remembered observing the more talented wizards, excusing Jacob of course, use these shards as weapons.  Mark would have used fire, but it would have burnt everything down there.  Slowly but surely, Mark kept thinking of what Miss Autumn had taught them and a perfect pointed shard of ice had formed in his hand.  He almost dropped it from how cold it was, but he kept a firm grip on it.  He thrust it at the wall, and instead of it shattering, the shard struck into the wall creating a crevice.  All at once, he tossed ice shards all around at the wall, completely pleased with himself.  Then, in the midst of it all, a shard hit the wall and sunk deep into the wall.  Something seemed and appeared different about this icicle, so he strode to the wall to observe it.  This shard was no normal shard, but it was encapsulated with a thin line of darkness.  He almost toppled over from just looking at it.  The icicle gave off a very dark negative energy.  All at once, the shadowed energy that was engrained into the ice, slowly moved into the wall itself and vanished.  Mark looked back at the mark on his hand and it also gave off a shadowy energy.
For hours, Mark sat on the floor of the great room staring at the wall.  The fact that he created that energy by just the enjoyment of using magic frightened him.  From being frightened, he remembered the image engraved into his mind of two people fighting a great wall of shadows and him being sucked away from them.  Every time he saw this image, it felt like part of him was being torn from his heart.  After hiding his feeling for ten long years, he couldn't hold it in anymore.  For the first time, he began to softly cry.  He wanted a family that loved him, not powers that could keep him safe.  He wanted a loving and playful father and a kind and caring mother.  He mist them, and he loved them deeply.  As this thought of those he loved remained in his feelings, something incredible happened. The mark on his hand started to fade from pitch black, to grey.  From the grey dull color, it glowed into a shimmering pure white glow.  He looked up from his weeping and noticed his mark.  If it meant more power, he didn't want it.  He feared more power.  At the moment, he didn't care.  He continued to think of his parents and his mark on his hand just grew more beautiful and white.  He couldn't ignore it anymore.  He pulled himself together, tried to use magic once again, and the most beautiful of colors began to portray themselves through the air.  All that was left inside his magic was no longer fear, shadows, and darkness; but a feeling that is unsurpassed by any other true emotion.  A deep sacrificial love for others.

Chapter 18

The Robed Figure

The dagger was right above the restful figure.  The robed figure stood there with the blade against his neck.  Come on, the figure thought to itself.  I must do it.  I was commanded by the Shadow Wizard.  This path is the only one I have known for my entire life.  I can not give up now.  The figure looked around the room and noticed a photo on the wall.  The figure saw Mark and someone the figure didn't recognize.  It appeared to be Mark in his youthful days along with a young girl and the girl's family.  On the photo was the writing, "The only family I know."  The figure stepped back from the bed and starred at Mark.  What have I become.....  I promised myself after I accidentally killed that little girl that I would stop this.  The figure looked down at it's hands and almost dropped the dagger.  The figure placed the dagger back into its sheath and raced out of the house.  The figure ran deep into the Forest Bend and came by the waterfalls.  The pool of cooling water beckoned for the figure to draw near and drink of its reviving waters.  The figure sat by the pool and looked at its reflection.  Almost instantly, it heard some what of a faint screaming drawing nearer to itself.  The figure stood up to behold a light darting right for itself.  The light ran straight into the figure and began,
"Who are you?!  Why are you trying to kill Mark!?  You lay another hand on him and i'll.....i'll...."
The light stuttered and sighed.
"I can't stop you...but i'll die trying.  Mark is all I have even though he doesn't know me yet.  Don't you dare...."
"Don't worry child," The figure began.  "I won't lay a single finger of harm upon the boy."
The voice from the figure was peaceful and calm.  The figure sat down and began to weep.  The light, perplexed at this thought, came by the figure and something magical occurred.  A well sized dragon appeared by the robed figure.  The dragon was sleek, some what small, and had a noble look in his eyes.  The light that had once been flying about, had transformed into the dragon.
"I'm sorry," the dragon started.  "I shouldn't rush to things like that.  I may not know you, but I know you're haunted by your past.  I know the things you did against my kind.  Some of these things are unforgivable by other dragons like me."
The dragon looked the figure in the eye.  The figure took of its hood to reveal long hair falling from the robe.  It was only a girl.  Her eyes were damp with the grief of past mistakes and dark hours that she had fallen into.
"I want to change....what i'm doing is wrong."  She looked up at the dragon.
"I'm so....so sorry.  The moment I looked at that boy, it reminded of me how my life use to be.  I had a home with a loving father.  I had a caring mother.  I stepped away from the light and embraced darkness.  How can I possibly come back?"
The dragon looked at her and replied,
"Although you have done much harm and evil, you can still redeem yourself."
"No, I can't.  I killed so many people."
The dragon's tone changed to a fiercer tone as he retorted,
"Then maybe what you should do is seek forgiveness.  Because of the choices you made, you should not rest until you have received the forgiveness of every wronged person.  You chose this path and you're going to fix it."
With this harsh rebuke, the dragon flew away and disappeared into the night.  The figure looked back into the pool at beheld her own reflection.  She took off the gloves that concealed her hands to reveal a great dragon mark wrapped around her arm.  She looked at her mark as it lit up for only a moment.  Her eyes did the same as she store into the darkness of night.
"I vow to change these dark ways.  The ways that nearly killed my love ones and has taken over everything I love.  I may not know who this boy is, but he has something I want."
She lost her thoughts in the swirling pool and whispered,
"....a home"

Mark found himself continually looking at the bookshelf where Miss Autumn had replaced the books.  He couldn't just walk back home with the chance that his family name might be in there.  The room held an empty air and nothing stirred the room.  He took down the book hurriedly and cracked it open.  The chapter on the Darkwings interested him the most.  He had to be quick to find just one grain of a hint to coming closer to who that family was.  The name had rung in his ears for all his life.  He never remembered who or what it meant, but now was the time to find out.  He realized that the name was connected to a simple fairy tale, only 68 years old, about the kingdom in the air and also the history articles of Arkitan.  None of those meant anything, but he wrote it down on a piece of paper and placed it in his pocket.
"Whatcha doing?"
Mark was startled as he turned around and saw one of the students.
"Oh!  Hi Chloe.  I was just reading this book about some lineage."
Chloe looked over at the book.
"I don't think we are allowed to read that.  Did Miss Autumn give you permission?"
Mark was a horrible liar, so all he could do was tell the truth.
"Miss Autumn took it down to read off a few names and put it back.  She told me that these things are suppose to be hidden, but one of the names I saw was one I heard when I first came into this world."
Chloe perked up and raced to his side.
"Well, even though this is against the rules, i'll only help for a little.  I don't want to get caught."
Mark grinned a little and replied,
"I actually have a little information that can help, but thanks any way."
"Aww that's no fun.  If there is any way I can help, let me know!"
She waved as she left the room.  She left an ice print with every step of the way, because her magic was specifically ice and she hadn't learned to control it yet.  He strode to the door and this time, he heard the wind whisper a name.  It was a name he had heard before.  Noran DarkWing.  What did it mean?  He left the room without another word.  Mist filled the room and a figure appeared.  As the shadow stepped closer to the bookshelf, dark energy repleted the room.  He picked up the book of genealogies and almost opened it until Miss Autumn entered the room.  Her face grew pale with horror as she saw the shadow hold the book.
"Get your filthy shadowed hands off of that book you black hearted obscurity!"
She shot a bright white light right into the shadow and the shadow faded into the mist releasing a terrible high pitched scream.  Miss Autumn raced to the book and picked it up.
"I should have known the shadows would break into here."
She glanced nervously around the room.
"I need to hide these books before it's too late....."
"Too late for what?"
Miss Autumn jumped and saw one of her students.  She smiled to herself and began,
"I had a run in with some trouble and I need to move these books somewhere else."
"I'll gladly help."
"No, it's alright.  I can manage."
The student smiled and left the room.  Much stirred in Miss Autumn's mind, and then she remembered a sharp pain on the back of her head and everything went black.

The Last Lights of Summer

Mark ran like a mad man out from Miss Autumn's house.  He ran as if something was chasing him.  He never ran so fast in his life.  The sun started to set lower in the sky as he charged up the hill towards the abandoned house.  He wheezed as he reached the top of the mountain.  Soon, his knees gave way as he fell over onto the grassy terrain.  He watched the sun set and the fireflies pop out.  That was the last autumn day that felt like summer to him.  Even though summer was long gone, this day was truly the last day of summer to Mark.  The last rays of dusk brushed against his cheeks as it set behind the far off mountains.  The rays rejuvenated his magic in a way he could never really express.  Butterflies formed in his stomach as the energy surged through his body.  He closed his eyes while feeling this and the mark on his hand began to glow.  After a while, he opened his eyes to behold hundreds of fireflies dancing in the air along with the newly welcome northern lights.  He grinned as he watched them both twirl through the air in such marvelous grace that could never possibly be written in any form to obtain the full expression of awe.  He watched the stars twinkle along with the lights in rhythmic grace.  The light on his mark traveled up his arm and his entire mark on his arm lit up.  The light from his mark was now bright enough for him to notice it, but he payed no mind to it.  He found himself starting to doze and fell into a pleasant sleep.

The robed figure ran through the woods and the light of day struck her eyes.  She winced from the light as she ran out.  She scanned the forest floor for any oncoming people and finally rested.  The robed figure ran all night to come back to Bakersville, but it seemed farther away than what it normally was.  A blackberry thistlebush was just around the tree and it produced a sweet aroma.  She walked over to the bush and picked of a few berries.  She was too famished to care about anything else at that one moment.  Her white silverish hair fell from her hood as she began to eat her breakfast.  As she finished her breakfast, she began to become very light headed and held on to the tree for support.  The world started to spin in circles as she collapsed on the forest floor.  A figure draped in darkness approached the girl and stood before her.
"Oh look, the princess of the moon and the murderer arrives at the edge of the wood.  So this is the great Eclipso that serves our lord?  Hmm..."
Another person slowly paced towards the first figure and stated,
"I believe she is known as Summer to most people."
"Of course, I just prefer to use her formal name."
The figure smiled.
"Come.  Bring the girl.  We have a trap to set for the next phase in our lord's plan."
One of the figures picked her up and they made their way into the thick of the Twisted Woods.

Miss Autumn slowly opened her eyes to a dark room.  She looked around and it was a nothingness.  She struggled to stand up, but she was chained tight to the floor.  A shadow walked up to her and began,
"Do you know where the boy is?"
Miss Autumn looked up with an enraged look on her face and replied,
"Go and tell your master i'm a dead end you wicked abomination."
The shadow only smiled and replied,
"That's not good enough for me.  I want an answer of yes or no.  From there, we can discuss your fate.  So...."
The shadow walked across the room to a table and picked up a knife.
"Now, let's try this again..... I saw you speaking with the boy and I can only assume he is beginning to become curious of who he really is.  So, where is he now?"
"I don't know what you mean!" Miss Autumn sputtered.  "What boy?  I teach many boys in my class and they are all normal boys.  There isn't anything special about any of them!"
The shadow began to laugh and glared at her.
"I am loosing my patience woman.  Tell me where......"
The shadow stopped himself and looked back at the woman.  She remained on the floor with a terrified look on her face and trembled violently.  The shadow walked over to her and grinned wickedly while another shadow followed.  The shadow that followed slowly transformed into another form.  Miss Autumn eyes widened as she witnessed the shadow transform into a perfect image of herself.
"Don't worry Miss Autumn, we have watched how you act in class because I was one of your students.  I use to look like...."
He transformed into another form.
"Jacob?!"
The shadow grinned in joy and turned back into Miss Autumn's form.
"Now, we can take your place and no one will ever know that we now have made our next move on the world."

~Edited chapter 19

Why did I not edit out that 'mistress of the woods' escapes me.  The last thing I need is another can of questions to be open with all the rest of the cans.  Anyway, enjoy XD
