First blog post woo. I'll start off with Sunday, which was Easter. My family and I went to church and after it, we all went over to my Uncle's house for Easter lunch. It's basically Thanksgiving again but with a tiny difference in foods. It was so nice that day out, like sunny and 75, I loved it. Later that night, I got my birthday cake aha. Monday was my birthday but first off I had to go to the orthodontist. To my surprise, he took my braces off! I've had my braces for about three years now. I'm going to get my retainer next week. Anyway, I didn't ask for any particualr presents this year. All I wanted was a load of cash and to go shopping which is what my fam and I did. I bought spring/summer clothes. We went to Eat n' Park for lunch and my Dad mentioned that it was my birthday and the waitress heard it. About twelves minutes later, I see all the waitresses walking towards me singing happy birthday and set a plate of grilled stickies (it's like a hot fried dough with caramel and vanilla ice cream on top yum) with a candle on top. It was such a nice/cute surprise and tasted really good too. The rest of the week i had school (ew) and didn't really do much of anything. So that was my Easter week and I'll talk to you all again soon.

Hello again all. I'm going to combine two weeks in one post here, so to start off, term three finally ended and I got my report card. Straight A's again woo! Now I only have left the fourth term and if I make high honors again then I will have successfully completed my goal of straight A's all year. In my family consumer science class, we started our sewing section for the last quarter. We get to make any sewing project we want, so I found a cute stuffed animal elephant in a catalog that I'm going to buy and sew. I also only have 33 days left of school which I'm so pumped about. I've also gotten the job as a GA on this fabulous forum<3! Other news, I got a car! It's a white Chevy monte carlo. Unfortunately Chevy quit making these a while back, but this one was originally my Dads car, then when my brother turned 16 my dad gave it to him and now my brother gave it to me. I've been practicing w little driving lessons with my Dad on Sunday evenings in a school parking lot. I think it's fun and cannot wait until I get my permit. Oh and all the ice cream drive in's/dairy huts have opened and I love going to them and getting soft serve ice cream aha. My favorite is currently a twist in a dish w sprinkles. What's yours? Well that was mainly the high points in the past two weeks. Until next time, be a cupcake in a world full of muffins. " longdesc="134" /> xx

Great entry! Congrats on your straight A's and good luck on getting them again for the fourth term. It's cool that you got a car, I don't even have my permit yet xD And for ice cream, I love chocolate with rainbow sparkles, but when Dairy Queen was around my house I did get chocolate and vanilla with rainbow sparkles all the time there.

Hello all. I'm back again with another blog about my recent weeks! I'll start off with talking about school. As I talked about in my last post, in my family consumer science class we have a sewing project due by the end of the month and I picked a stuffed elephant. Turns out, it is pretty difficult/confusing to equip and I would need way longer than two weeks to make it. So today I went to a craft store and bout some fabric and ruffles to make a pillow! I got one piece of lavender fabric and the other side white with a light chevron pattern on it. The ruffles I will be sewing around the pillow edges and they are white as well. I can't wait to see how it turns out. In my college prep English class, we are studying/reading/watching Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. I personally, think it is all very boring and useless and cannot wait for it to be done. In science, I'm making a power point for my end of year project which has to do with national parks. So other than that, school has been chill and I only have 17 days left! Yayay! So outside of school, I've still been practicing driving and last Sunday I drove on the actual road for the first time. I did good and it was exciting! The weather has also been very warm and I'm loving it. Oh and some of you might of known this but May 4th was the birthday of my role model/inspiration Audrey Hepburn. I spent that day watching Breakfast at Tiffany's and listening to oldie swing vintage music. I love her so much ahh. Well that's mainly all that has happened, or at least of what I can remember, aha. La vie en la rose & talk to you soon

Hello again. So starting back in early May, I sprained my ankle playing soccer in gym. I kept it in a wrap and put ice on it and it did manage to get better but I still can't bend it a certain way. As I talked about in my earlier blog posts, I had a sewing project for school. I actually ended up making the stuffed elephant and finished it on Friday. My teacher gave me an A since I spent a lot of time on it and I did pick the hardest project in all her classes! I feel so accomplished aha. I'm also gonna sew my ruffle pillow this last week, too. Oh yeah 4 more days of school! I get out this Thursday and I'm excited for summer! For finals, I've taken algebra and English. Our history final is an essay about a topic we learned this year and I picked the Great Depression. For Spanish, we made scrapbooks for our final project, there are seven pages and each page has to do with each chapter we learned. In computer apps we had to make a powerpoint on an every day object so I picked Cheerios aha. And finally our science final is a project on a national park in the US. I got Mount Rainier and made a powerpoint all about it. I have to present them this week to get my grade! So that's all I've been doing in school these last few weeks. Outside of school, I've still been practicing driving on the road and getting ready for my vacation trip to the ocean in two weeks yayy! I also bought one of those adult coloring books and it has been keeping me busy when I'm bored. I totally recommend them! Oh on Memorial Day, my fam and I went out on our boat on a local lake and went fishing. I really enjoy boating and it was such a great day for it too. I caught a few fish, and then night before I went trout fishing w my dad and I caught two that we kept and had a fish fry with. Well that sums up my past weeks so far. Until next time, be a flamingo in a flock of pigeons " longdesc="134" />

Hello! So this is gonna be a short post but I thought I'd share my last week of freshman year! So in school, I presented the rest of my finals/projects and got 100% on them all. I also received my first letter ahh! I got it for academics for getting straight A's/high honors all year long and a special academic pin to go on the letter (the letter is a C for my school name and it's gonna go on my school letterman jacket). Along with it I received a special certificate of congratulations too. Today I found a cool diy for a henna tattoo and I tried it out and it looks so pretty! I'm obsessed with henna, especially for the summertime, and I'm hoping to get an actual henna soon! I'm gonna be watching my school's graduation tonight on a live stream as well. I'm so happy with all the hardwork I put in this year because it essentially really paid off. I'm gonna be on my little ocean vacay in one week eeep! I'm going to be taking lots of pics there. Well that's all for now, happy summer! xox

Hello all! I'm back again, this time I just got back from my little vacation trip to Lewes, Delaware and also all the beaches along Delaware heading into Ocean City, Maryland! I've been going to Lewes for four years now and I love it so incredibly much. It feels just like home there--like I was meant to live/be there. I look forward to going every year, because I love the ocean/beaches and marine wildlife and seafood buffets ahe. So starting off with Monday, we drove 8 hours to Lewes. Along the way we cross the Annapolis Bay Bridge which is a 4 mile long bridge that goes over the Chesapeake bay. It's so nice there. We also stop at Bass Pro Shops near Baltimore. I love the ride down bc I enjoy looking at the scenery. We finally made it to Lewes, ate dinner at an Italian place, went to the Bay/sea and walked along it collecting shells. I also took a lot of photos of the sunsets too, which will be down below. Tuesday, for breakfast we went to the Fractured Prune (isn't it a funny name? ahaha) and got a dozen doughnuts. They were really good. After, we went swimming at the beach and I got hit by a wave and salt water got in my mouth.. yuck. Then it started raining so we left and my parents bought their fishing licenses and then we went shopping. Literally, everyone is either shopping or eating when it rains there! After, it was time for dinner and we went to Dewey beach to go to the Rusty Rudder seafood buffet to eat. It was soo good too! I also went to a few surf shops and bough a lifeguard shirt. Wednesday, we went to the Indian River outlet, which connects with the Atlantic ocean, to fish. My parents gave up because it was too windy and the line kept getting caught in the rocks. We went to the beach again and stayed there for a few hours. Then we went to Grotto's, which is famous for their pizzas, but I just got cheese calzone and it was amazing. Later we went fishing at the bay and I kinda caught a big blue crab.. it halfway came out of the water and fell back in twice xD. I always enjoy the first week of summer bc it's at the beach and what better way to spend it? I one day wish to live there forreal or at least own a beach house. There's so many things to see and do, other than what I did this time, and I totally recommend it to you and everyone! It's addicting, aha. Until next time, be the sun in a gray sky. xx

I'm glad you had fun! I also go to a beach in Delaware, but it's called Rehoboth beach (maybe you have heard of it). Grotto's is the best, it's my favorite place to have pizza. I haven't knew anyone else that knew of that place so that's awesome. The pictures are gorgeous!

Hello again. On Monday, I went to the Carnegie Museum of Natural History and the Carnegie Museum of Art in Pittsburgh! The museum is extravagant with 22 million pieces in it. We walked around for 4 hours and didn't even come close to seeing all the exhibits! First we saw the dinosaur's. They had almost every kind of dinosaur there was, and it was amazing to be able to see their skeletons (they were all built/standing from their original bones of course) and just how huge they really were. There was tons of fossils that were billions of years old too. I went into an exhibit the was full of all sorts of crystal rocks/stone and they were so beautiful to look at. Most of them were from India. We went to the ice age exhibit and seen a full wooly mammoth skeleton/bones along with an elk. They had a lion, grizzly bear, and sabortooth tiger that were real but dead/stuffed, ya know what I mean? Anyway I got to pet them/feel their actual fur. There was so many fish and turtle skeletons that were humungous also! Next we stopped at the Egyption exhibit and they had actual mummies wrapped in their tombs o;. Other exhibits we seen were the Native American, and the Antarctic. They also had a bird exhibit full of tons of real birds but they were dead/stuffed of course. Also tons of different bugs. We finally made it to a part of the Art museum and oh my goodness.. it was so stunning it looked like a place in Paris with the marble floors, columns, gold rails, stairs, paintings hanging (as you'd probably guess I was loving it). And another part that was like Greece! Ahh I loved it so much and I wish we could've seen the rest but it can take up to two entire days to thoroughly view everything there! It was cool to learn about different cultures and things waaaay back then. This was totally a trip that I won't forget. Until next time,
-Marilyn
