^ congrats! you just learned your first Turkish word!
I am doing things a bit differently
than the other language tutors, in the sense
that I will be learning this language with all of my students!
For as long as I can remember,
I've always wanted to connect with my Turkish

roots by learning the language, but I was never able to
access any resources to assist me in my goal. These days, with
the help of mobile & computer applications, anyone is able to learn a
new language (or advance their knowledge in a familiar language) by simply

downloading an app! My personal favorites include Duolingo and Memrise, but here,
we will be working exclusively with Duolingo. Please make sure to download that app, because
it will be where lessons are taught! We will keep a tally of everyone's scores and progression on a post
within this subsection.
